OACA Hosts Environmental Lecture Highlighting the Nisqually Delta

On September 6, the Olympia Area Chinese Association (OACA) hosted an engaging environmental lecture, moderated by OACA Vice President Alex Ge, which drew an audience of over twenty community members.

The featured speaker, Janine Gates, shared insights from her new book “Saving the Nisqually Delta”, offering a vivid overview of local environmental history and the challenges facing the Nisqually Delta. Her presentation was both informative and lively, sparking strong interest among attendees.

During the Q&A session, audience members raised thoughtful questions on climate change, wetland conservation, and ways the community can contribute to environmental protection. Janine responded to each question with patience and depth, further enriching the discussion.

本次讲座特邀演讲嘉宾 Janine Gates，她以其新书 《Saving the Nisqually Delta》 为核心，分享了本地环保的历史与 Nisqually 三角洲的相关议题。讲座内容生动活泼，既有深入的学术视角，也兼顾通俗易懂的表达，让现场观众受益匪浅。
