OACA Meeting with Washington State Governor Bob Ferguson
On September 23, 2025, Fan Zhang, President of the Olympia Area Chinese Association (OACA), and Vice President Alex Ge were warmly received by Washington State Governor Bob Ferguson in his office.
During the meeting, the OACA representatives presented Governor Ferguson with the program booklet from the 2025 Chinese New Year Gala along with a letter of appreciation and a small gift, expressing the community’s gratitude for his ongoing care and support. Governor Ferguson expressed his sincere thanks in return.
Vice President Alex Ge then introduced the history and current activities of the Olympia Area Chinese Association and its Chinese School to the Governor and his staff, highlighting recent community events. He also extended a warm invitation for the Governor to continue supporting and attending OACA’s Chinese New Year celebration in 2026.
The meeting concluded in a friendly and cordial atmosphere. The OACA representatives and Governor Ferguson took a group photo together to commemorate the occasion.

2025年9月23日上午11点，奥林匹亚华人协会会长张帆与副会长戈元龙在州长办公室受到了华盛顿州长鲍勃·弗格森（Bob Ferguson）的亲切接见。
在会面中，协会代表向州长递交了2025年春节联欢晚会的节目册与感谢信，并赠送了小礼品，以表达对州长长期以来关心和支持华人社区的感激之情。弗格森州长对此表示由衷的感谢。
随后，副会长戈元龙向州长及其办公团队详细介绍了奥林匹亚华人协会和中文学校的发展历程与现状，以及近期开展的一系列社区活动。他同时诚挚邀请州长在2026年继续支持并亲临协会举办的春节联欢庆祝活动。
