Knowledge Class Notice, 5/9 - Goal of Child Development & Ivy League Dream

Dear OACA Members,

It is a common wish of Chinese parents to have children who excel in school.  But the wish doesn’t always come true.  Will, it did for Mr. Gao.  In this class, he will share his personal experience, years of study, research and reflection on child education.  He will start with the goals, as a clear goal is like a torch which directs all the hard work that follows.  Having a clear and achievable goal relieves your children of un-necessary pressure and brings yourself more happiness.  Let us explore together.

Speaker’s background：

Gao Shiyu, is a PhD in Agriculture and a Master in Computer Science.  He currently works In the field of big data analysis.  He loves learning and exploring in the education of his children.  He has two daughters who graduated from Wellesley and Harvard respectively.  He is a co-authors of the best-selling book "Deliberate Free Range", and has published more than ten articles related to education in social media groups such as "Harvard Parents Talk", "Follow the Leads", " Deliberate Free Range".

高式余，农学博士， 计算机硕士，目前工作是计算机大数据分析。他喜爱子女教育方面的学习和探索，两个女儿分别毕业于Wellesley 和哈佛大学。是畅销书《精心的散养》的作者之一，在《哈佛家长百家谈》,《顺藤摸瓜》,《精心的散养》等公众号发表过教育相关的文章十余篇。
