Mass Vaccination Events at South Puget Sound Community College 3/14, 3/15

------------------------------------ Forwarding Message ------------------------------------

On behalf of County Manager Ramiro Chavez and Director of Public Health & Social Services Schelli Slaughter.

Dear Community Partners,

As you may know, this weekend we are holding mass vaccination events at South Puget Sound Community College.  We still have appointments available this Sunday, March 14 and Monday, March 15.  Prior to further advertising this to the public, we would like to give those you serve that are in phase an opportunity to sign up.  We can only offer vaccines at this time to people who are eligible.

People who are currently eligible for vaccine include:

• High-risk health care workers in health care settings

• High-risk first responders

• Long-term care facility residents

• All other workers at risk in health care settings

• All people 65 years or older

• All people 50 years or older in multigenerational households (home where individuals from 2 or more generations reside such as an elder and a grandchild)

• Educators and staff for pre-K through 12th grade

• Child care providers

Below are links to register online for the events:

March 14th Clinic

March 15th Clinic

Please feel free to share these links with your eligible staff and community members.

We recognize that a mass drive thru site is not ideal for everyone and many may need assistance in signing up online.  Anyone needing help to sign up may call:

1-888-856-5816 (Multiple languages available) 6am-6pm.

We will also continue our equity and outreach efforts by offering pop up clinics and mobile clinics.  If you are interested in partnering with us, please let us know.

Also, it takes nearly 100 volunteers from our community each day to run large-scale vaccination events such as these ones. If you’d like to get involved and be a part of Thurston County’s effort to vaccinate our citizens, please connect with United Way of Thurston County through their website at: https://www.unitedway-thurston.org/covid19.

Thank you so much for helping to keep our community healthy and safe!
