Announcement - New OACA VP of Education

Dear Members,

Our Vice President of Education Gong Bing has resigned due to difficulty in balancing multiple roles in this time of pandemic. After long and active search, the association President nominated Jenny Gao to take the position.  On 4/25/2021, following Article 5.4.1 of the OACA Bylaws, the Executive Board casted their votes.  The Board approved the appointment unanimously.  This appointment takes effect immediately.

Jenny taught English at Zhejiang University in China before coming to the United States.  After that, she taught in our Chinese school for many years. In the past 8 years, she has been teaching Chinese at St. Martins University.  Her teaching experience, her ability, her work ethics, and her objective and well-rounded character make her an ideal person to take on the VP Education position.  We are very fortunate to have Jenny joining the Board. Please join us in welcoming Jenny and thank her for her enthusiasm in serving the Chinese community.


尊敬的會員,

OACA原任教育副會長龔兵，因為疫情期間，工作、家庭過於忙碌，無暇他顧，請辭協會理事職務。協會遵照 OACA Bylaws (組織章程)第5.4.1款， 辦理教育副會長遞補作業。經過積極搜尋與咨詢，在會長的敦請下，Jenny Gao (高織綺)，終於接受會長的提名，並於4/25/2021， 7:00pm 經全體理事表決同意，擔任OACA教育副會長。此一人事任命，經理事會決議，即日起生效。
Jenny 來美前在國內大學教授英文，來美後，曾任教我們的中文學校多年，八年前開始在 St. Martins University 教授中文。她對OACA 中文學校及中文教學的經驗，加上她的辦事能力、工作態度和公正客觀的性格，雖然她跟所有現任理事們素昧平生，但仍成為我們心目中教育副會長的最佳人選。我們很幸運有Jenny 加入理事會這個鋼鐵團隊，請大家跟我們一起歡迎 Jenny，也感謝她為華人社區服務的熱忱。
